# hospital by iVS > hospital by iVS (iVS for hospitals) is a self-hosted platform that lets hospital staff — nurses, pharmacists, IT officers — build their own AI-assisted apps and run them safely on the hospital's own server. iVS is the guardrail: patient data never leaves the hospital, every data exchange passes one gateway that enforces Thailand's PDPA, and an AI steward helps run the platform but acts on anything important only with a human administrator's approval. Core idea: "Hospital staff build it. iVS keeps it safe." Language: the site is Thai first; English at https://hospitalbyivs.com/?lang=en Contact: klod@sgc.co.th (Mr. Songklod Tantharabandit) Sister site: https://eventbyivs.com/ (the same platform used for live event operations) ## The problem it addresses - The people who know what a hospital needs work there every day; outsourced systems are slow, expensive and often miss how the ward really works. - AI now lets staff build working apps themselves, but those apps can leak patient data, ignore PDPA and standards, cannot talk to existing systems, and nobody governs them. ## What iVS does - Runs staff-built apps on the hospital's own server: upload an app as a zip and it runs in its own container. One app = one container = one database = one PDPA processing activity. - One gateway for every data exchange: drops or masks data per field, flags Section 26 (sensitive/health) data, records processing activities (ROPA) automatically, and can revoke any app instantly. Apps calling the internet directly are recorded and can be blocked. - Standards adapters for HL7 v2, FHIR and Thailand's GDX are built. The first live link to a hospital HIS is planned as part of a pilot — iVS is not yet connected to any hospital's HIS. - Legal and standards support: access logs, electronic agreements and consent (e-Contract under the Electronic Transactions Act), and ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 / ISO 14971 evidence with a Thai FDA medical-device pathway for apps that may qualify. iVS itself is not a medical device. - AI steward with permission levels: observe and advise; reversible platform fixes with limits; anything affecting live work needs an administrator's approval; app changes are proposals to the app's owner; it never deletes patient data, edits an app's database or enters passwords. ## Status and evidence (stated honestly) - No hospital is using iVS yet; pilot hospitals are being sought (one department, one server, 90 days). - The platform runs live event operations: Yeepeng Lanna International 2026 (Chiang Mai, Thailand) — a full-capacity rehearsal of 2,880 seats with 20 simulated check-in devices, 10+ apps on one platform, zero personal data in the AI memory. ## Business model - iVS Free: start in one department, no cost, no lock-in. - iVS Pro: hospital-wide, with the PDPA gateway, ROPA, egress control, standards adapters and the AI steward. ## Pages - [Home — the story of a hospital building its own tools safely](https://hospitalbyivs.com/) - [English version](https://hospitalbyivs.com/?lang=en) - [Privacy notice (PDPA)](https://hospitalbyivs.com/privacy)
